When is an Operational Model not an Operational Model?

23 May, 11 AM BST

In the world of project finance, financial models are at the centre of getting deals done. Once the transaction is complete, an updated "operational model" is often procured for a variety of purposes and for use by various stakeholders. What can seem like a straightforward modelling exercise can, however, be a big challenge to all involved, due to competing requirements.

Key learning outcomes:

  • Recap: what is an operational model and how does it differentiate from a model at financial close?
  • When might an operational model be procured?
  • Who are the stakeholders, and what are their requirements?
  • How can the modelling process help align expectations and develop knowledge of the business among stakeholders?
  • How to agree a specification and deliver the model.

This webinar is aimed at all who in invest in, and monitor deals which are project financed.
